Action Cancer's Safe Sun Services
Action Cancer has a dedicated Health Promotion Team who carry out awareness talks for schools, workplaces and groups
across Northern Ireland.
Sun safety is an important element of the general cancer awareness talk but is also available on its own as a specialised talk.
Action Cancer has produced Safe Sun bookmarks for guidance on how to enjoy the sun safely.

Arlene Lusty, Health Promotion Officer for Action Cancer said:
"Hot summer days outside can be great fun but there are some basic rules everyone must follow to ensure they stay safe in the sun.
People should wear factor 15 or above sun cream and apply it generously and frequently, even when at home here in Northern Ireland.
Try to avoid the sun when it's at its hottest and wear a t-shirt, hat and sunglasses for extra protection.
It's also important to remember to protect children as their skin is extremely sensitive.
By wearing sun cream throughout childhood, teens and into adulthood we can do our best to prevent skin cancer and perhaps premature
death."
