The MoonLight Walk is a 10 mile, pink themed, night time walk in aid of Action Cancer’s Breast Screening Service - This is the fifth annual MoonLight Walk and we aim to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever before so sign up now to be part of it!
2013 marks Action Cancer’s 40th anniversary – 40 years spent working to save lives and support the people of Northern Ireland. Since its foundation, Action Cancer has screened over 140,000 women for breast cancer so join us on 14th June to help us make this a Moonlight Walk to remember.
Whether you are a new MoonLight Walker or a seasoned pro at this point there are many reasons to take part in 2013 – you may want to take the opportunity to walk in an extravagant pink outfit, in memory of a loved one or simply to have fun, keep fit and raise awareness!
The Half Moon Walk will cover a distance of approximately 4 miles and follow a route from Cooke Rugby Club, Shaw’s Bridge, the Malone Road and the sights of Belfast City Centre, finishing at City Hall – buses will then be available to take you back to the finish point at Cooke Rugby club (more details available soon).
We hope that this will make taking part a real possibility for everyone no matter what your current fitness level so please spread the word! Encourage friends, family and work colleagues to join you in this fantastic walk that has already captured the imaginations of so many participants.
By getting involved in this special sponsored walk you are not only guaranteed a fun-filled evening under the moonlight but also an amazing sense of achievement at having raised vital funds for life-saving breast screening services offered by Action Cancer, Northern Ireland’s local leading cancer charity.
