Action Cancer Ladies Business Event sells out in just 24 hours
The forthcoming Action Cancer lunch, to be held in the Merchant Hotel on 17th October, sold out yesterday, just one day after it was formally launched. Organisers say that the event received unprecedented support from Northern Ireland's Business community and the 150 places were taken up within a few hours.
Action Cancer, in association with Bank of Ireland UK and BDO, has organised this unique business event for business women, with the theme of ‘growth and innovation’. The lunch will bring together three key high profile speakers at the luxurious Merchant Hotel to mark the charity’s 40th year. Bestselling author Rachel Abbott, Personal stylist Beth Goodrham, and Northern Irish business woman Christine Boyle will speak to 150 attendees about their personal development, career reinvigoration and business innovation.
Discussing the huge level of interest, Laura Jackson of the event co-sponsors BDO said; “The level support has been overwhelming. Even before we formally launched the event on Tuesday we had huge interest from our clients and contacts who heard about BDO’s involvement. With the press coverage yesterday we were inundated. By the end of the day we had to start a reserve list. It just shows how supportive the Northern Irish Female business community is of this very worthwhile charity.”
Maria McAllister of co-sponsors Bank of Ireland UK said, “As a local Bank, supporting the spirit of Northern Irelands Business Women is important to us – they play such an important role in business and local communities. We are incredibly proud to co-sponsor this event. Such high demand truly demonstrates a real desire and a sense of responsibility to work in partnership to deliver key business and health messages for the benefit of the wider community. It promises to be a great event”
Although attendance is now full, there are many other ways in which businesses can support the event and the charity through sponsorship, prize donation and more.
