Cares Shops’ Challenge 2015
25 March 2015
Have you a passion for fashion? Are you competitive? If so, keep reading!
This event is an Apprentice style challenge where a business takes over the running of an Action Cancer charity shop for the day and competes against other businesses – the goal? To raise the most amount of money!
Businesses are asked to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test by taking over the running of a charity shop for a day, competing against other teams to promote, manage and aim to increase the sales in each shop. The team with the highest percentage sales increase will be announced the winner, however the judges will also score the teams on how they have marketed the shop, worked as a team and used their creativity to drive sales.
The boardroom showdown will be an evening gala event that will take place in a Belfast/Greater Belfast hotel. A complimentary table of 10 is on offer for each team participating which includes a drinks reception, three course dinner and an evening of entertainment.
The following organisations have signed up: ASDA, Bangor Academy, Boots, Cornmarket Insurance, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fujitsu, Funeral Services NI, GE Global, Genesis Crafty, Lloyds, Marks & Spencer, NI Housing Executive, People 1st, SPAR and The Irish News.
Shops still available are: Enniskillen and Newry.
What will I get out of participating?
A deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment from involvement in an innovative team volunteering activity and the opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skills through maximising sales and generating much-needed income for Action Cancer.
